The days of having the public address system announcer announce other scores ended years ago.
Neyland has several places in the stadium on the LED band between the upper and lower deck that shows scores.
It continually updates all SEC and Top 25 games.

Used to announce several scores each game it seems like. The PA guy did announce that Arkansas had beat Florida during the game a couple of weeks ago though.

The reason the rest of the West looks average is because Alabama is so dominant. When the west teams are healthy, just about every one of them cou,d beat any team in the country. Then of course there is the fact that Tennessee has embarrased 2 big 10 teams in bowl games.
