'16 TN LB Daniel Bituli (UT commit 7/18/15)

Just out of curiosity, and not a flame, does anyone worry about pre-boom jinxes? I know that FranklinVol is solid, as solid as they come, but I always withhold my booms until the player goes public with it.

One can be very solid, as solid as they come, and still pre-boom.

But you shouldn't worry if these are rare occurrences.

However, if this becomes routine, you should see a specialist immediately.

TIFWIW.

I see no problem with prebooming as long as you can reload the cannon and boom again relatively fast.

This kid will be commitment number 8 for the class of 2016, and we haven't even reached national signing day 2015 yet. We also only have about 13 scholarship seniors on the team for next season. So if you have trouble wondering how the numbers will work out, next year will be a major headache for you. And every year likely, for that matter, as long as we have CBJ.

I think we will have 15 seniors. probably 3-5 blue shirts from this class, so thats 10-12 spots. we should have some attrition as well, along with more blue shirts. I bet we sign 19 or 20 in the 2016 class

That would make sense, but I feel like Butch isn't capable of taking under 25. It seems like he really likes a lot of players and he can't help but recruit them. And he's such a good recruiter that he gets them. We'll see, but this was supposed to be a small class as well. But he can only do this so many times, like you're alluding to.

Ah...VN. One minute it is "oh noes...Butch is mean and so many leaving the team", and the next is "how will we fit the mother lode of new committments". You'll see lots of churn until the talent pool stabilizes, although my guess is that Butch is always going to give the largest possible group the chance to earn a spot on the team. It should calm down some eventually, but this may be the new normal.

Whatever happened to that ATTRITION thread anyway? Went to that thread graveyard where the third 2015 QB shady recruitment lies in forever peace.

If Sutton or North have huge years and leave would that give us an extra spot?

is it just me or does it not look like he's playing against elementary school kids in at least half that video?

Not being negative...

I'm not worried because he shows out in camps and thats against the best in the country. Patrick Willis came from little single a tn ball

not saying hes not good he definitly has a nose for the ball and body size allready .... best player i saw all year in single a ball..we played them second round off playoffs.....hope hes orange all the way:rock:.........best player besides my boy of course:dance2:

It's either Bituli or Gooden (re-commit) that is supposed to commit this weekend, but it's looking like Bituli. Joejuan didn't make it in, so I think that one will be sometime over the Summer.

I'm from Gordonsville so I know a thing or two about 1A ball as do you. NCS is in our district this year for some weird reason

Kid is built like Sampson and that's why he's highly ranked. The problem is he plays crap competition and doesn't really stand out like he should to me. Hips are very tight and plays stiff. Compare his hughlights to DKJ and I promise you'll see a world of difference. Not a bad player I just don't see him as very special.
