I love NCAA's Aggressive Defense... NOT!

So, I was playing my buddy in a close game. Out of timeouts, I needed a turnover to have a chance to win. I thought that I might actually get one if I switch to aggressive defense, but three straight face masks later, he scores to seal the game. I was watching him play the next game, and if aggressive defense was being used, face masks were being called. It seamed completely absurd, because we all know that in order to play aggressive defense, one must tackle by only face masks...

You have to keep the "strip ball" to green, imo. The aggressive is kind of broken.

its just a risk you take, you are telling them to be overly aggressive so they are going to take that dude by any means. I agree that is a tad overkill. like ipo said keep the strip ball in green, that should help

Ok, I'll give that a try. I just thought it was kinda stupid that time and time again I saw aggressive defense get a face mask called multiple times each time it was used while only forcing 1 turnover.

It needs tweaking. Players can be aggressive trying to strip the ball w/o grabbing a facemask 4 times in 1 drive.

Hopefully be fixed with patch that is coming out tonite. Any PS3 users with the patch already have anything to add to this discussion?

Aggresivness D was a horrible idea for ea to go along with the 10 other they had for this game. If you use this your a puss.

i played a game against jtrain tonight and played the whole game on aggresive D and ended up with i think 5 face mask penalties, 2 roughing the passer but 3 picks. one was when i had him pinned off of a punt on his own 4 yd line and next thing you know he's at the 40. it's a toss up, kind of a risk/reward deal but it seems you end up on the risk/penalty side more than the reward.

The agressive D has been good to me, so far. I've been forcing 4 or 5 turnovers per game, most from strips, and only having 3 or 4 facemasks. I'll trade 60 penalty yards for 4 turnovers any day of the week..
