It'd suck if you accidently "locked" on a player. Like 3rd down and you're a corner covering Julio Jones. Surely there's a way to back out of it.

NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Next Gen

-Spring Game: I loved this on the old games (before I had a 360) And I think its important. They should let you play the spring game after recruiting and before Cuts and Redshirting time. So you can figure out which players to keep and which ones to cut/ redshirt. Also at the end of the Spring Game it should give you the option to select your impact players for the upcoming season. I just feel like this would bring more realism to the college football game. Also the game or you could list position battles and this would help further determine, who you want to start.

-Fans rushing the field. If I upset USC with Arkansas State at home, I want to see the fans rush the field. It would make your upset, so much more enjoyable.

-Create a school: They should really add this if they are not planning to put real FCS teams in the game. So you could maybe create some of them or just make up your own school and start a dynasty with them. They should put in the time to give you the option of 50 or more logos to select from. Also create a jersey/ stadium like Madden.

-Presentation: They need to have custom team entrances (Florida coming out the tunnel, Clemson running down that hill and touching Howards Rock, ect..) Also at the beginning of NCAA 09 before the game it would shpw a players stats and they would talk abpout him. When they do this they should show him, warming up on the field. Or putting his equiptment on or something like that. Maybe Corso could say what he thinks is the key matchup to the game. A half time show would be nice, talking about the players who preformed well in the 1st half and if its a tie game the half time show guys make their prediction who wins. And show stats of course from the 1st half. Also a Post Game show, were they talk about the game, show highlights and stats and possibly interview a player/coach. Also when you start a game as Nessler is talking about the weather and stuff to that extent you should see players on the field do warmup drills.

-Dreadlocks: I know there are other things needed before this, but come on. There are tons of college football players that have dreadlocks. How can you not put that into the game? It was in 07. But it has been left out in 08,09.

-Fan attendence: If you are having an amazing year with San Jose State your stadium should start selling out. Or if you are playing as USC and your having a horrible year, the stadium should only be about 75-80% filled. Your success dictates the fan attendence.

-Rivalry: Make it more realistic. If OSU-Mich or UF-FSU are playing, there should be more players jawing after plays. Maybe shove other players after a physical down. Or if a Safety lays a huge hit on a receiver there should be players jumpinging on that safety and celebrate with him, as they get all fired up.

-Championship: I havent played the championship game in 09, but im guessing its nothing spectacular after you win. So I suggest after you win the championship, your school's colors in confetti start falling down from above and some of your star players go and dump the Gatorade cooler all over your coach. Then show all (or all the starters) your players on a small stage and show your coach or best player holding up the trophy.

-Classic teams: I rather have real FCS teams, but this was always a fun feature in previous game on current gen. I used to love playing with all my favorite Gators that are gone from college football.

-Heisman presentation: Atleast show the heisman canidates at the ceremony and have someone annouce who won. Then show that player walk up on stage and receive the award, as his stats are scrolling across the bottom of the screen.

-Rid of Mascot game: I fing it pointless. Who actually plays it? Getting rid of it would add room for improvement in other parts of the game.

-85 man rosters: So you can keep those extra walk-ons if you want them.

-Duplicate #s: Allow you to assign the same number to 1 player on offense and 1 on defense.

-Recruiting: NCAA 2010 should allow you to recruit High School Juniors so you can maybe get an edge over some schools in the next season. Also I know this will not happen but wouldnt it be awesome if you could ask a recruit for a highlight video. If they accept they could send you one and you can watch a :30 to 1:00 video of simulated highlights from High School. Also some teams should get that occasional diamond in the rough player, who is a 2* or 3* who turns out to be a pretty good player.

-Sidelines: Less robotic players on the sidelines. They look horrible. Also refs, chain gangs, field goal nets.

-Formation subs: They used to have this in Madden, I know for a fact. If you have 2 good RBs they should allow you to assign your backup RB to certain Formations before the game.

-Off Field Problems: I remember they used to have this. Every once in a while a player should be having academic problems and you ahev to punish him. (suspension) Or other off field problems you have to deal with. If I remember right the NCAA forshadowed how you delt with the punishment and I think it may have effected your school prestige or something to that extent.

-Injuries: If my player breaks his hand, he should be standing grabbing his wrist not laying on the ground and squirming. Also if the player has a serious knee injuries he should be carted off the field.

-Senior Bowl: It would be a nice addition to Dynasty mode. So if they are good enough you get to play with your seniors one last time.

-Fans: How about if im playing at LSU and im UF and I break a 70 yard run with Percy Harvin, I do not want to see LSU fans jumping up and down and cheering. Also maybe add signs. Which would bring back that create-a-sign feature. I used to make a sign in NCCA Football 04 that said "Chris Rix suck dicks" I would enjoy seeing a "Tebow 4 Heisman" sign in the Swamp. Also possibly make the Student section wear the same color shirt and make them crazier than other parts of the stadium.

-Playbook: They should have it were you can make your own play book and choose any formation/plays and game and you could create plays to add to your playbook.

I hated the odd the field problems that the game had in it awhile back. It eas always something stupid like the player was passing notes in class. Then If you didn't suspend him for 2 or 3 games your little meter went up that measured how close you were to NCAA infractions.

spot on. pretty much agree with all this. it sucks how much they have left out from the last gen games.

Look no further than nhl 09 for a championship trophy presentation and really a pregame presentation for that matter. Shouldn't be that hard to translate to a football game.

Good list... about the 2* and 3* guys. The best qb I've ever had was a 3* guy and I've had a couple 3* rb's that were pretty good.

My wishlist. I did an abbreviated one earlier, but this one is a tad longer.

Seeing as I'm a sim/offline dynasty nerd, I'd like more options there........

------------------------
- Legacy Mode - This is actually directly stolen from CH 2k8. I'd like to have two options for a dynasty offline. First, the open legacy, in which you can pick any team you'd like.

The second one is the career legacy, in which only a 1 star prestige offers you a job to start, and you have to work your way up through the ranks. Also needs to have the College Football Hall of Fame license the use of the CFBHOF in the game, not just for coaches, but players as well.

- Other Dynasty Mode improvements -

Instead of the schedule, based from week to week, a day-to-day calendar needs to be put in instead, for more realistic recruiting and non-Saturday games.

It would also be really nice to have the College Gameday guys wrap up the week in CFB, similar to what NFL 2k5 used to do for the pros. A 5 minute wrap up show, and at the end, name the player of the week and release the next weeks Top 25 polls.

I remember that players used to get in trouble in the old PS2 versions of the game. That should also be put in there as well. When you racked up enough points on the NCAA's meter, your team was handed probation.

You could also take that up a step farther, and in the very rare exception that the player continuously ignores rules violations, the death penalty should be issued, firing the coach, the teams players transferring elsewhere, and starting a year later with all walk-on players and the prestige dropped significantly.

Day-to-day practices should also be included, with an option to sim through them.

Also, there should be an option for two different types of recruiting modes. One, the the modern next-gen one(the one where you make calls). Or, you could do the classic last-gen one(the points system one), if you're not that big into recruiting.

E-mails for the coaches should be another addition. These e-mails should come from the AD, saying that he's booked a game next year( i.e. say, between Tennessee and Ohio State in 2011), your assistant coaches, giving you the scouting reports for next weeks game. Or just some crazy fans praising you, or calling for your head, depending on how you're doing overall.

And, the scheduling for opponents should be like in real life. If you're Arkansas State, you should have to pay an exorbitant amount of money to Texas to get them to play in your stadium.

The money thing would go towards your budget towards upgrades to the program. Say you want a new weight room. It'll set you back a lot of money. You wanna make Neyland hold 120,000 fans. That could be an option. The way you do that is, you pay money per seat, with the cost of a mass renovation(say, putting Neyland at 130,000 people) being massive, and not to mention, being a huge gamble. If the seats aren't filled, your AD, and eventually you, will be fired.

- Coaches serve a purpose -
Assistant coaches should also be included, as should coach ratings. This system should be like Madden, 1 Offensive Coordinator, 1 Defensive Coordinator, and a Special Teams coordinator. The ratings should also be like Madden, 1-99 in ratings, with the legends having 100 overall(Bear Bryant, Robert Neyland).

That leads me to say that these coaches would be unlockable for play now, as you will be able to choose your coach. You will either be able to choose the default coach(For Tennessee, Lane Kiffin), a legend from the past(Neyland), a former coach that would be unlockable through special achievements(Majors), or, yourself(You'll have your own coach in your profile you set).

Now, you might be wondering, what the coaches are for. Well, they increase your players ratings. A 99 rated coach would improve ratings by 5-10 points per player. A 50 rated coach would have no impact on the players. A 20 or 30 rated coach would actually decrease your players ratings about 3-8 points.

Well, it's getting a little long, so I'll stop right here for now. I'll probably pick back up tomorrow.

good list. i especially agree on the gameday guys with a weekly show. one of the things that has been absolutely horrible in the last few ncaa's is the presentation. they could take a few notes from 2k.

I was blown away by how good NFL 2K5 was in terms of the presentation. Having Berman breaking it down pregame, the halftime show, the postgame wrapup, as well as seeing the coaches yell, players warming up. It was all so awesome.

Heck, even Madden 2005 was good, because of the Tony Bruno radio show on the dynasty mode, the papers from each town, as well as having the USA Today in there.

2004 was a good year for football games, for sure.

I think they need to improve depth charts. For instance, you can't put a DB with 96 speed in for your QB. And also doing matchups. Like having your best corner stay on the opposing team's best WR on everydown, no matter where the WR lines up.

Can you not do that now? I swear I thought there was something in strategy that allowed you to do that.

I think I've mentioned it before, but I'd like a type of AD mode. Set merchandise and concession prices, facility upgrades, stadium upgrades and option to change supplier (Adidas, Nike etc.) and things like that.
