Madden 2010

So I had New Years Eve dinner with several people the other night. Some being my fiance's friends. Well, one couple was in town from Orlando. He went to UT a while back and dropped out. We didnt talk much till I found out he worked for EA. Turns out, he is the lead designer for Madden 2010. All of a sudden, he became a lot more interesting. We talked for an hour about the past Madden games going back to the Sega Genesis to Madden 09. He couldnt tell me a whole lot but did say that the 2010 will be more realistic than ever before. No more of the QB throwing 80yd bullet passes. Ability for the computer to audible to passing or running plays based upon your defense. Example. 1st and 10 and I roll out a nickle or dime defense, computer will run it every time. If I bring up my secondary to blitz on my own, watch out for a bomb.
I just thought it was cool to talk to the lead designer for Madden 2010 and look forward to it coming out next year.

Ian Cummings? He seems like he's done some good things with the Madden franchise.

As for 2010.... The only way I give it a lot of playtime is if the add an online franchise similar to NCAA online dynasty. IMO... it would be cool to run a NCAA online dynasty along side a Madden online franchise so that you could compete with humans in trading and drafting players from an imported draft class!

Any thoughts?

An online franchise would be great, really didnt know why it wasnt in Madden this year since NCAA had it. Drafting and trading would be pretty awesome

Madden 2010 will need OF for me to wanna purchase it. If it doesn't have it I won't waste my money on it.

Too bad Madden has been basically the same game for 2-3 years. I like it, but it really hasn't added anything that's been revolutionary.

Get rid of the cheesers online, add more to the Superstar mode, make sure that Dynasty has better options, add historic teams, and then you've got a excellent game.

I haven't played Madden in a few years, but that would bring me back. If you could have a dynasty going in each game with the same people, with a connected yearly draft... Awesome. Stealing your rival's star player in the draft and using him against him for the next several years would be so sweet and cruel.
