| I read that thing about how the XBox 360 is going to flop in Japan... Microsoft needs to get support in the land of the rising sun or else the Playstation will continue its dominance over the XBox.

[b]I do believe I'll quote one of the headlines on that page Freaky linked to...
:D | Japan is important, but not like it used to be. The US market is much stronger now than it was 10 years ago. When the video game crash happened in the early/mid eighties, it took Japan and the US market acceptance to have a chance. Now that it's a booming business and overtaking other entertainment choices like movies, the importance of Japan isn't quite as significant. |

| Well, there has got to be a reason XBox sales don't even begin to compare to PS2's. Maybe in the United States, but PS2 still has sold more units and XBox has done practically nothing outside of the US and Great Britain.

[b]I've got one reserved at Gamestop.* Same difference now that Gamestop and EB are the same company.* They weren't sure when which shipment, exact date, etc.* Didn't really matter.* If can get one at Walmart, etc. before Gamestop, I'll just get my money back.* Just playing it safe and making sure I'll have one within a week or two of launch. | That's what I figured too. Might as well get on the list somewhere as a worst case. I called the gamestop at Turkey Creek and they told me they were taking pre-orders for third shipment. |
