Yes.
PS3 is pretty much the best BluRay player on the market and one of the very few that are BD Live (BluRay 2.0) compatable.
Both offer movies and tv shows for download.
360 has a partnership with Netflix so you'll be able to stream their Video On Demand movies through your system this fall. (possible right now if you jump through some hoops)
It's heavily rumored they (360) have partnered with Sirus as well and you'll be able to steam it through the 360. (again, possible now if you jump through some hoops)
Both can play just about any format of video either natively or through transcoding w/ programs like TVersity.
Both sell games and game add-ons through an online interface.
LIVE is $40 or so a year. You are paying for online gaming and quicker access to game demos.
Sony sells Q'ore which is $25/year and grants quicker access to some game demos and access to some betas (SOCOM, Motorstorm 2 so far). It also gives you a 20-30 minute info-mercial for upcoming Sony products along with commercial for non-Sony products.
