PS3 bluetooth question

My bluetooth ear piece flakes out on me all the time. I turn on the PS3, go in to settings and connect, then test the connection volume and everything seems to be working fine. When I get into games like COD4 and GTA4 sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't sit very far from the console. The only thing I can think of is that there is a conflict with the controller since it's bluetooth also. Any ideas?

It is more likely that it is having difficulty with the profile that your device uses. There are many different audio profiles, and I am unsure of which ones the PS3 supports.

Some bluetooth headsets interfere with the controller. I had a Motorola and had to take it back for that very reason. I bought a cheap plantronics at Wal Mart and it works perfectly.

I have a stereo Sony set that I use to listen to music off my phone or watch movies on my Eee... it has a mic, and supports those profiles, but the placement of the mic makes it pick up background noise more than your voice...

I have noticed that a bunch in general playing COD4. Some peoples mics pick up anything. That's why I hardly ever use my mic. Too much noise in the background at times.
