anyone up for another online dynasty? I'm in one but wouldn't mind being in a 2nd one pass the time and have some variety with different teams and all.

Maybe a change of pace dynasty with different rules or guidelines on teams/conferences/scheduling - but anything is fine if someone wants to.

Here is the computer putting some amazing moves on me in an OD I'm in. I thought the CPU was acting like a human for this one play. EA SPORTS World - NCAA Football 09 Video

lol you just got owned - if you play on heisman they do that crap a lot if there is a RB with a decent break tackle... can get 3-4 broken tackles in a single play.

I'm fairly new to this part of the board, but i have to ask. In the last 5 years of Playing NCAA Football, Has anyone ever blocked a punt? If so, who were you and how?

i probably have in the past versions, but haven't at all in '09. it's also almost impossible to block fgs in the game too, and that applies to all of the games in the series. i seriousyl don't think i've ever blocked one unless i was lined up offsides and got flagged for it.

I blocked a xtra point in last years game.....But have never blocked a punt or field goal.

On the xtra point, i just got extremely lucky in timing the snap and the guy i was playing against kicked it low to combat the 20+ mph crosswind....just got lucky.

I have probably blocked 5-10 punts on this years game. It is usually because I pick punt block and the person I am playing chooses a coverage punt or using the guy at the end of the line on a regular punt return and timing the snap. Playing against a guy online, I actually tackled the punter before he got the kick off.

Yeah. I don't ever pick punt block against the CPU though because then it does max protect.

Sometimes if you time it right you can get a fast guy in to block it right up the middle. You can't actually pick "block" though, you have to pick a normal return play.

I would be up to being in another one. Let me know if you get one going.

OK guys, I need some advice. I'm playing on varsity, and its HARD. I lost to Florida at home (me being UT). I scored the go ahead TD with a minute to go, but I got destroyed in the gaytors pass game...FL went 70 yards for a last minute TD to seal the victory. When I play on JV, i goose egg teams...Any advice would be greatly appreciated...lol

it just takes time to adapt to the increased speed. also, the computer gets more aggressive as the difficulty increases. not the greatest advice, but stick with it and it'll just come to you.

i mean, what are some good defenses to call when you know they are passing? I assumed Cover 2 - Cover 3, but still got burnt. Do you just play man to man? And blitz?

I mix it up, going some sort of man 60 % of the time against the CPU. Try the nickel package qb spy, but make a presnap adjustment to press coverage. Also, if they are passing down field in big chunks, try any of the "quarters" plays. Along with that, keep mixing in your cover 2's and cover 3's.
