| Official MLB 2k8 Thread Well I went the 2k8 route, and I love it. The pitching is a lot hard this versus last year, but I really like it. Also pitching and throwing (fielding) is all based on the analog stick.

| I really wish The Show was on 360!
I got 2K8 and was only able to play for a short time last night.
I like it but for now I switched the hitting and pitching to the classic style.
The hitting is what really threw me off! |

| The Show is the only one that lets you create a player and work your way up through the minors, correct? I haven't bought a baseball game in years, and I haven't followed what each games pros and cons are.
I kinda want a new baseball game, but to pay full price for the game, I want it to have some lasting appeal. Anybody care to give some details on the game? |

| I had 2 years of the show on ps2, and it was a good game, i enjoyed the gameplay and the career mode.
The franchise mode, however, was too clunky. The time to search through players for a trade, and the vague ratings attached to said players, was enough to make me miserable.
Also, it was just too damn easy. Perfect game to drink some beers and play with a buddy, but single player was a pushover and relatively monotonous

Anybody care to give some details on the game? | Not sure about MLB2K, but The Show you can pick any position and play as them. You interact with the manager, play and hit when you would in real life, and work your way up building stats, meeting career goals, etc.
If you are a starting pitcher, you throw every 4 or 5 days. The rest you don't see, just the stats. If in a DH league, you wont hit unless you're playing in non-DH stadium.
I'm a closer right now. So, I only throw an inning a game to seal the deal. You can work through a season or two in just a few hours. |

| Personally I enjoy 2k8. I played the demo for the Show and it wasn't for me.
