Official NHL 2K8 Thread

So I got this game Saturday and have been wearing out the single player mode, on rookie I dominate, the next level I get creamed. After many games I thought I had the basics down so I thought I was ready to play online,WRONG, FREAKING DEAD WRONG. Six minutes into the first period, the score was 4-0, the guy sent me a message that simply said,"srry". So that pizzed me off and I went and scored 2 on him, feeling pretty good about that, he went and hung 3 more on me in a matter of 2 minutes, so to end the first period it was 7-2, So I asked for mercy and quit.

I love this game, but I still suck online. So if any of you guys suck too, hit me up and lets try a game.

I'd like to check this game out sometime. I got mixed feeling about the newer hockey games though. I miss the days of NHL 94!

I liked NHL 08 more. The stick controls are cool. Both are nice looking games for sure. I briefly played 2K but I was getting burned out on the one-timer fest it's been turning into the last couple of years.

My brother and I have played a few games of NHL08 and are having a blast. It's up there with Fifa 08 as our favorite sports games to play against each other.

08 is the best one in quite some time. I was burned out on it and didn't expect to buy it. But, they made some great improvements this year and fine tuned the footwork to make it pretty deep for really skilled players. I just wish I was skilled....

dang, man!

I remember getting into fights on the NES Hockey game and laughing my ass off. It looked like 2 paraplegics trying to punch each other.

the fights are good on 2K8, the surrounding gets all blurry and you control each move. Its nice

Got EA Sports NHL 2008 this weekend. It blew my mind. Not only is it the most realistic hockey ever, but also the new controls are INSANE.

I haven't had this much fun playing a hockey game since NHL 94 came out for the SNES.
