No, no and no. I never ever said he is good in real life b/c he is good in a video game. I started this thread to talk about a video game (hence gaming forum) and then no one that replied said anything about the game.
If you read my last post, I clearly stated that I didnt think he was a great receiver and I certainly didnt say anything about Jerry Rice nor did I try to compare him to anyone. My point is just that he should get the ball more. Maybe he isnt any good at all - but I sure would like to find out what a guy with his speed and play-making ability could actually do. I mean you guys havent even given him a chance. You cant say he sucks or doesnt know how to play b/c well he never gets a chance for some reason. I mean we could at least put him at returner or something. It seems to me like you guys are judging his entire career and ability on a stupid reverse play. Exactly how many times has a reverese play actually worked at UT anyway?
And no I wasn't playing on rookie as if that is even relevant at this point. Do not judge me.

It's up to him to impress the coaches no matter how he performs on a video game. |

Just sayin, do we really know?
And again let me reiterate - just because he is good on a video game does not mean he is good in real life. Do you really think that I think that?

And I do think you meant that the video game translated or else you would not have used the term "playmaker" without ever seeing him on the field. |

Then you guys come in here and say he sucks b/c he...wait...what did he do wrong again? Seriously - Ainge threw it to him twice all season and 1 went for 50 yards and a TD. And you guys can say he doesnt know how to run a route but you and I both know that is stupid. If the kid couldnt run a route he would be a DB and he most certainly wouldnt have played for FSU and UT.
And I am not "telling anyone how to talk about a UT player." I just cant really figure out why everyone here hates Kenny O'Neal with such a passion...I mean its like he cost us a game against UF or Bama. | Actually, it was Crompton who threw it to him in mop up duty. He's not that great. If he was, then he would have been able to beat out the starters who weren't "deep threats". He isn't good. You're an idiot and you don't have any clue what you are talking about. |

And no I wasn't playing on rookie as if that is even relevant at this point. Do not judge me. | Fulmer said Kenny O'Neal was coming to UT to start. I'm pretty sure Fulmer imagined Kenny being #3 at worst on our depth chart, meaning he'd be on the field a hell of a lot. Instead, his performance in practice got him put behind Taylor, Rogers, Briscoe, Jones, Moore, Vinson, and even walkon Casey Woods. Despite that, Fulmer still tried to get him the ball once in the Cal game. He of course did not make the catch, which I believe was a third down conversion attempt in the redzone. He got his chances, he just didn't make the most of them. If he can turn it around this offseason and make a run up the depth chart that would be great for him. However, we are not in a position where we need to retool our offense in order to get the ball into the hands of a guy that hasn't done anything except make one catch against the worst team we played in 2007. |

And its an Xbox.
Btw I just checked and O'neal only rushed 2 times - both times were probably a reverse that was well sniffed out or something.
I dont know why you have a grudge againt him.
A guy with 4.2 speed should touch the ball more than 4 times a year. Is that really that debatable? | O'Neal can't even run a reverse correctly. He ran in front of Ainge one time, taking the handoff between Ainge and the offensive line, instead of running behind the QB. |

Plus he wasn't actually planning on signing with anyone at the time because his arbitration was around the corner and he wanted to focus on that.
I don't remember what he ran for the Eagles, but said he ran a 4.18 when he tried out for the Texans later that year. |
