yeah it will eat CPU usage..... I've probably spent close to $10,000 in upgrades and computers to keep playing.... but I'm addicted

There is absolutely no way in hell you need $10k worth of hardware to play WoW. You chose your parts very poorly or are playing on a >100" HD projector

I'm including game time and 2 entire systems in that estimate.

Each comp ran me about $1500 (so thats $4500 for all three)

1Gb - 4Gb ram upgrades in each (about $700)

Top of the line (at the time) Nvidia video cards (anywhere from $250-500 depending on which card)

The game itself ($200 for 2 copies of game and expansion, as I have 2 accounts and needed 2 keys)

and 4 years of game time @ $15 monthly (approx $720)

Yes I know I'm crazy, but I will openly admit I'm addicted to this game, as its really the only way I socialize and keep in touch with my friends up north.

I choose to do that than be out in Bars blowing my money on getting wasted and making fake friends in a town that I have every intention of leaving as soon as I can.

Not to knock anyone for their choices but you need to learn how to build a comp and save your money. I could take my comp (built 3 years ago), upgrade it for about $500-600 and guarantee it would play the latest version of WoW. Would save you some money and give you a hobby.
