| | 7 Star poster | Your top 5 games... Year is almost over for us gamers and was wanting to know what your top 5 games were this yr...I dont care what criteria you use..let's hear them. Mine: 1. Gears of War...yeah I know it came out in nov of 06 but I spent countless hrs with friends playing this game..love it. 2. Call of Duty 4...graphics and gameplay are amazing...great game....campaign a lil short..but the online rules. 3. Halo 3...never been a big Halo fan but really enjoyed playing co-op Legendary with my co-workers. 4. NCAA Football 08...enjoyed some tough games on this one. 5. BioShock...excellent game that I need to finish up. |

1. Call of Duty 4 - Incredible game. Made me start playing online more. Even though I suck, I still love it.
2. Rock Band - Probably give the nod to rock band because there's so much in this game. Blast to play with people. Obviously not everyone's cup of tea.
3. BioShock - Fantastic game. No multiplayer, so it might be the best rental out there
4. Crackdown - Another stellar game. A bit limited after finishing the story, but an incredible time while paying through it.
5. MLB The Show (PS3) - First baseball game I've wanted to buy since living with college roommates. They actually made the single player game here fun.
There's other obvious games that are great, but just not my tastes. I'll recognize Halo 3 is a great game and package, but for me, I should have never bought it with CoD4 coming a month later.
I'm probably forgetting one or two that should be in this list. Oh well. |

| 1. COD4
It's simply the best shooter I've ever played. 2. Oblivion
Rich, engrossing, beautiful- this game never gets old. 3. Halo 3
Still the best multiplayer around even though COD4 is bringing serious heat. Lots of fun nights and new friends from this game. 4. Guitar Hero 3
This one is a no-brainer. Who doesn't like GH3?! 5. NCAA 08
Year after year, this game is always on the menu. This year's edition was the best one yet. Unfortunately, due to the games above, I didn't play it as much as I would have liked. |

| | smh | I decided to do a handful from PS3 and 360.
PS3:
1. Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Rarely do I like polished up remakes, but this one definitley stands out. Handles great on Sony's controller.
2. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Was fun on the 360 but playing it on a system better-equipped to handle this demanding game was great.
3. MotorStorm - This game isn't as deep as I normally like, but it's great-looking and handles even better.
XBox 360
1. Mass Effect - I had to do it. No way I could declare a FPS the game of the year. Now will somebody besides BioWare come out and please make more good RPG's for the XBox?
2. Call of Duty 4 - For the love of God, somebody FINALLY made a non WWII-based great single-player FPS. Good multi-player, too.
3. Halo 3 - IMO still far and away the best multiplayer out of any FPS out there. |
