Question Xbox 360 Q&A Thread

Guess I'll finally have to breakdown and buy a 360.

Questions:

1. Will my reg' xbox sports games work on a 360 ?
2. Will my reg xbox controllers work with it?

Hey, I did not grad' from MIT--just a state supported univ'.

If you buy the $349 version, I would get the latest version with HDMI. Listed on side of box along with other video outputs.

If plan to use optical sound with HDMI on the $349 version, you'll need an additional 3rd party dongle for ~ $25 or the $50 MS cable with optical adapter.

The Pro version comes with a component cable... and now includes HDMI as well.

You can play it on an HDTV even with the composite connection, it just won't look nearly as good.

Also, if I remember correctly, the HDMI pro version has upgraded heatsinks for the GPU, so the red rings of death should be (hopefully) less prevalent.
