Opinions are greatly appreciated | I've sworn by Sony since the inception of the first PS back in the late 90's. But I just recently crossed over to the darkside- mainly due to the influence of these guys!
I'm a converted believer- the 360 is the superior choice right now. |

I never played any xbox anything prior to this morning, but the controller is very well layed out and intuitive, nothing seems awkward.
The warantee was also a huge reason i decided to go the 360 route, they acknowledge that there are some kinks in the system, and are willing to bite the bullet in the process of fixing them. | I think microsoft won over a lot of people with the bold move to give a 3 year warranty. Quote:

deep?
Of course, you can't play an of these "deep" game experiences now since they still don't exist.
If you want to actually play the best games on the market now... get an xbox.
If you want to buy a system and watch in collect dust while you hope some decent games come out some day, get a ps3.
If you like online play and want a mature well integrated online system, get an xbox.
If you like an online system that is today's equivalent of using a walkie talkie as a cell phone....get a ps3. |

| | VN Night Watch | If you like a system where the best games currently out are an overrated, monotonous third-person shooter, a soon-in-coming rehash of an ill-concieved sequel and a soulless racing game, get an XBox 360. I don't care for online gaming. I prefer a system where the developers of exclusive titles actually have the talent and dedication to make more than a mediocre 8-hour experience and rely on online play for depth and replay value. The XBox has only had like 5 or so such titles, ever... Jade Empire, and the KOTOR and Elder Scrolls games. The Playstation has had infinitley more in the same time frame, Final Fantasy series, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Okami, God Of War, Shadow of the Colossus... I could literally name two dozen more games like that.
But I guess Sony is just full of empty promises for the future. As if Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy (two of them) games aren't even coming. And before you belittle four games, realize that there's at least 500 hours of gameplay between them. Not to mention there are other games on the horizon.
It's why I don't care for the XBox 360... I don't like waiting around for maybe one great, deep standalone game a year while Sony releases a handful in the same timeframe.

| | VN Night Watch | I decided to stick with the titles that I know for a fact will be extremely good games. There are still more on the horizon that I didn't bring up... '08 is going to be a big year for the PS3, even if Playstation House (or whatever it's called) doesn't work out. Those four will fill up the gaming landscape over a year by themselves, unless you play ten hours a day.

I can tell you that GT was a good game about 5 years ago. Other than that, I think you have it way overrated. |

(All that said, I don't really like Halo). |
