just got off the phone with xbox and the guy told me that whenever you get 3 red lights on your console it means there's a hardware console problem. So the guy told me they would send a box to my house and I put just the console in there, call UPS and they'll send it to Microsoft and then they'll send me another console in 2 to 3 weeks for free

I know I'll sound like my usual Playstation homer self, but seriously, how much money has Microsoft lost on XBox 360 repairs by this point? It has to be a lot.

There have been a lot of issues with these systems, without argument. But Microsoft has really stepped up to the plate if you ask me. A 3 year warranty on a product like this is unprecedented.

The cost of this extension is over $1 billion.

Most of them are just old ones that have been fixed.

I agree... Microsoft has generally stepped up to the plate in helping replace 360's. I wish they were more forthcoming in what actually caused the systems to crash, and what they've been doing to remedy it. But the boxes and all have been well-executed.
