Hopefully this will shake up the market and push Intel to get more aggressive. Seems like CPUs have been stagnant for a long time. The 2500k still handles almost all AAA games at max settings and it's 6 years old.

AMD was great then they went in the tank 6 or 7 years ago. Wouldn't mind seeing another cpu war with Intel to improve performance and drop prices a bit.

Yeah they haven't had an edge in a long, long time. I think the Athlon 64 was the last CPU they released that beat out everything Intel offered.
