I have been running 4-3/Nickel forever and I can't believe I'm getting questioned about cheesing now that I finally beat someone.
Neither D's are listed as "no-no's" in the rules. | |

| I don't see a problem with running a 4-3 or a Nickel most of the game, especially if you are running a lot of zone. Most college teams have a base defense they run nearly every play. You don't see too many college teams playing 4 DBs on the field, even against 4-wide sets.
Carolina runs a 4-2-5 98% of the time.
Now, I have do have a problem with those defenses on the game that are completely unrealistic, like when somebody lines up in a 4-4 every play and stacks the LOS so that you can't run or get a pass off. | |

It should never work. | Then you also saw that I didn't "cheese up" any of the defensive sets by bringing up the LB's every play or something like that. In fact, I didn't "user control" anything pre-snap other than my D-line.
I run my D and adjust to the team at hand. I wasn't cheesing. | |
