Anyone Here good at fixing problems with Live?
I need some help with some stuff now that I'm setting it up again, mainly getting the NAT to work correctly right now (it's on moderate)

oh also, I'm getting my live's internet through connecting to my laptop (which has the house's wireless internet)

I have no idea about using your laptop as your internet source. You can change your Nat settings to open in the network settings blade on dashboard I believe.

Make sure that your computer is set to share it's connection. Other than that the xbox should just recognize it as being connected to a lan.

it is; though unfortunately something's going on now and the - either laptop or xbox - is assigning the xbox with an IP address of like 167.777 or something, and the overall connection's failing from such

go into your router and give it a static ip.
