So he's turning 29.

A bit about him: He's a lawyer turned real estate developer, Ivy League educated, so he's slightly dorky, but he loves sports.

He already has a nice TV and I bought him an Ipod Touch for Christmas last year.

I want something practical but clever. Ideas?

You said he likes sports eh? I would just get him a signed football from Tom Brady and Randy Moss, that's what I call a nice gift. :D

Forget the football, get a photo of Tom Brady!:)

I'd say the best gift for him would be something tiny for you that slips off easily :birgits_giggle:

that goes without saying, but i also need something he can show to his family.

Take a picture of yourself with a bow around your neck :birgits_giggle: Seriously, is he a watch guy? The reason I ask is you could get him one of those watch cases that turns the watches at random to keep them accurate so he doesn't have to reset them everytime he changes his watches.

Oh, ok, wait, just read the budget, I think that case is not an option. Maybe a nice portrait of his fav team scoring a winning point? A jersey of his fav player? And you'd have enough left over to put together an awesome meal for him.
