I've heard of several people eating country hams that had been rolling around in the back of their vans or station wagons for several years and saying they were good to eat once they cut the mold away, but I just pulled some molded bacon out my fridge and was wondering if that was any good?

Doubt it, bacon has lots of moisture moisture compared to ham, it's likely bad through. That said, if you char it it will probably edible

Salt cured pork is, iirc, a total different world than store bought bacon.

Considering how bad regular bacon is for arteries, nuking/charring/scrapping rotting bacon probably won't make it any more toxic to your circulatory system. The gut might take exception though.
