Bruce Lee vs The Gracies

The guy is a doucher but it still begs the question would Bruce Lee be able to beat the Gracies?

If they could catch Bruce, he'd be in trouble. If not, he would wear them out with quickness. If it ever came to a clinch or on the ground, they'd have Bruce in a position where his weapons are nullified. He could still bite or headbutt or knee in the nuts, but would be in bad trouble if it was skill vs skill. Going from never on the ground to being on the ground against someone always on the ground would be too much.

Have any of guys seen bruce lee fight in person? Or chuck Norris for that matter?

Bruce Lee would whip any of them ( in his prime) in a matter of seconds.

He didn't fight for points or looks. He fought to win.

The Gracies dominate stand up fighters. Small problem for the Gracies. They're now just as irrelevent as they stand up fighters they dominated. Martial arts has evolved into a mix of ground and standup. If you just train one or the other then you should be ready to have your ass kicked.

I never saw Bruce lee, chuck Norris or anyone on the ground at anytime. Standing up, there wouldn't be a match and they would dominate. But they have to throw and kick and expose arms and legs. One grab and roll and they have a bone or joint ready to bust or one of many chokes. Karate on the ground equals ass whipping. Karate kids and adults get their black belts, then go to bjj and get whipped badly by students that have trained for a few months. We just had 2 kids quit. Parents said they both had black belts in taekwondo and dominated sparring. Ages 10 and 12. They lasted just a few trainings and were crying after tapping out to kids 2-3 years younger and 20 lbs lighter.

None of 'em could take Hulk Hogan in his prime. When he got pissed off, he felt no pain. Leg drop, and it's done.

And don't even get me started on the Ultimate Warrior....

That's ass backwards thinking.
1) wrestle to learn takedowns and spral.
2) stand up of your choice ( somewhere that doesn't sell belts for doing a form ) mui ti prefered.
3) jitz or judo to ty it all together.

Tkd is a buy a belt joke

Exactly, Royce dominated early UFC, because guys were "specialists" and had no clue how to handle bjj. I love me some Bruce Lee, but they would eventually get their hands on him and it would be over quick at that point.

In the ring, probably not. In a group bar fight? I'll take a group of strikers over a group of grapplers.

I saw a special once about a martial arts(think it was kung fu) master that had pounded his hand everyday into a steel plate. Did it for 30+ years. Dude could punch through solid walls without flinching. And I'm not talking these flimsy ass wall we have around nowadays. I would hate to be on the receiving end of one his strikes.

if I was 20 years younger, and didn't have bad knees. I think I would get into Krav Maga. how does it fair in MMA?
