| It's my day
and I am going to brag about my birthday present, which is the last 5 seconds of this video. My son had some issues with laziness and eating. As you can see, he still has a little pouch, but you should have seen where he was headed. His first NAGA tourney in March was really brutal, as he was beaten badly 3 straight times. I expected him to quit, but he didn't. He lost 8 lbs since March to compete against smaller kids. He did this on his own and by us eating better and helping. I lost 6 myself. I didn't force any extra running or Todd Marinovich dad type stuff. I just reminded him of his goal and had him write down the things he needed to do to get there. He hasn't been good at a few things he has tried, and his low self esteem was affecting us all. This video is his first fight this weekend. The last 5 seconds are something I'll never forget, and Ethan and I both needed it as well. I wanted to share because I am so proud of him, and I think he'll remember today for the rest of his life, as will I.
