| Crazy things you've seen I thought this may be a fun idea for a thread.
In 2009 (I think), my girlfriend and I were driving from Knoxville to Nashville on I-40W. When I got to Cookeville, just past exit 287, an adult doe walked out onto the interstate from the left side about 25 yards in front of me. I was in the left lane, passing a woman in a Taurus (BEFORE the deer walked out, or was even visible), and when it saw me coming at it, it tried to sprint to the right-hand shoulder. Unfortunately, it wasn't fast enough and the woman in the Taurus nailed it. At that point, my front bumper was in line with her front door, so I had a clear view of the collision. I kid you not, the deer was close to 10 feet in the air, spinning horizontally like a helicopter blade. I don't know how many rotations it did, but surely it was at least 540º. The impact was more than enough for the woman to lose control, and she ended up t-boning the beginning of a guard rail on the right shoulder. Of course, I pulled over to see if she was OK. Fortunately, she was able to walk away without a scratch or any injury. My girlfriend and I waited with her for a trooper to arrive, and she was taken care of. We found the deer in a ditch maybe around 10 feet off of the road on the right-hand side. Needless to say, it was dead.
That was definitely nuts, and I'm sure you guys probably have some crazy stories too. |

| Came across a wreck one time where car was wrapped around a tree on it's side. The roof of the car had been ripped off and both the driver and passenger were still sitting strapped in their seats dead. Was stuck in my head for a while. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| I didn't mean to set the tone to car accidents. The stories can be about any crazy thing you've seen. I was mostly astonished with the deer spinning through the air. |

Posted via VolNation Mobile | Years ago two teens did the same thing on a telephone pole. The pole was cut and the car and pole was set on top of the building the wrecker service worked out of. A very sobering display to say the least. I still remember my friends mom taking us to see it right before we started driving. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| My old boss and his woman were following me in his Corvette up this steep but fairly straight hill on a two lane road. The Blazer I had at the time had a 351 so it could go. He started to pass me so I gave it some gas, just messing around. He then proceeded to blow my doors off and fly up the hill to where the road leveled off and slightly veered to the left. All of a sudden he started fishtailing, he eventually lost it completely and the Vette careened into a ditch, did a complete sideways flip and landed upside down. I was 50 feet behind them watching the whole thing unfold like something off of 'Worst Wrecks In History'.
They both walked away without a scratch. I thought they were both dead for sure. |

| When I was in a band in Nashville a few years ago, we played a show at The End on Elliston Place. We were kinda post-hardcore, I guess, so we had moments when we rocked the f*** out. At one point in the middle of a song, one of our guitarists thrust his guitar back behind his back, and one of the tuning keys nailed me on the head, about at my hairline. It cut me just a little bit, but I was bleeding decently. I honestly didn't even know I got cut, so we didn't stop the song or anything. When we finally finished, everyone was yelling, "CHRIS!! ARE YOU OK?!?!" I didn't know what was going on, but it turned out that this is what I looked like: |

| | Gary Russell's Dentist | Perfect timing for this thread. Yesterday I was at the gas station and I was making small-talk with a guy inside. I checked out before him and walked outside. His truck was parked at the gas pumps. As I'm walking past, I noticed black smoke coming out of both if his windows. I ran back inside and said to the guy, "Hey buddy, I think your truck is on fire!". He ran outside screaming OH SH!T! He opened the driver door and the the back seat was engulfed in flames. I kept my distance and offered to help. The fire was about 7 feet from the gas pump. Dude grabbed a bottle of Powerade and knocked the flames down. He said, "I think I got it. It must've been that cigarette I tried to throw out." I got the hell outta there. I wasn't getting blown up because of some dumbass. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| Looked out my drivers side window while driving from Woodbury to Murfreesboro and saw an Emu running down the side of the highway. It was weird. |

| Haha! Probably escaped from a farm. I know my class took a field trip to an emu farm somewhere in Middle Tennessee when I was in elementary school. |

Had to mark the farms on our flight maps because flying over them would just send them sprinting and they'd decapitate themselves on the fences holding them in. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| While working as a correctional officer in 05, was responding to an officer down. A fellow officer and i sprint to the area where the call was from. We turn the corner and an inmate took a stab at the other officer with a shank. The blade snapped in half on his abs. He had already stabbed 3 inmates with that knife. That officer responded by punching the guy once in the mouth knocking out his gold fronts. He needed 40 stitches in his gums. There was no officer down thankfully. Officer Bad-ass had a scratch on his belly and a cut shirt. Posted via VolNation Mobile |
