2007-2011 Jeep Unlimited...

Does anyone here own one? Im going to purchase one but I hear they are putting a stronger engine/transmission set up in them for 2012. The only people I know that have one, have them all modified, so im curious if there is a power issue at all.

They're pretty bad ass but yeah overpriced. Im half tempted to buy a used one, but I know how my friends and I treat their Jeeps on the trail. Working this ****ty job in Cali though has given me the oppurtunity to buy new and get the options I want.

if you can, buy a used one that you know was owned by a city-dweller or suburban soccermom type. They will most likely have sprung for a loaded 4x4 but never drove it off-road.

Good call. I was just talking to my bud about all the lifted trucks out here that I know never leave pavement.

Agree. Many Jeeps out there like this. Lots decked out with wheels, tires, etc. for looks but never used.

I also bought a new one in 09. I love mine and have had no issues. I was talking to a friend of mine who is a Jeep dealer and we were discussing the Brute (google). He said to expect Jeep to adopt this format in the future. The same company also offers a Hemi upgrade along with several other kits, so maybe a Hemi is in the works for Jeep as well.

They are called Mall Crawlers.

Ive got an older model jeep, just for around town in the summer, hunting & trail riding. I love mine.

I had an 07 4DR Sahara, (I think you can see it in my avi) very weak and the manual trans was geared way to close together. They have a 5.7 liter Hemi conversion kit for like $10K
