Following his earlier resignation which was to be effective at seasons end, Kennedy decided it was in everyone’s best interest for him to leave the program immediately, giving all parties a clean break.

I wish our coach Billy Kennedy would step down. Has arguably the most talent in the SEC; does nothing with it. Road 3 future NBA level players to the Sweet 16 two years ago. He's a horrid coach. We're going nowhere this year. We'll be lucky to make the tournament.

He saw the writing on the wall. Weird because he seems to win 20 games every year but never be that good. And I saw an interview w him last week where he said he can’t even get the team to play for themselves, let alone him or the school.

Hopefully this doesn’t somehow provide the team w some kind of spark right before w play them. Would be our luck they play their best game of the year
