Is Luke going to be retained at Ole Miss or will they give him the full-time job? I actually think he's done an admirable job this year but I wonder if you want him running the program long-term.

That means we could have Tennessee, Florida, A&M, Ole Miss, and Arkansas all looking for coaches. That's over one-third of the SEC. Amazing. And rumors continue to swirl that Gus might want out at Auburn (although I think that's crazy talk).

McElwain then Jones and now both Sumlin and Bielema have one foot out the door and the other on a banana peel.

There were also rumblings on the plains that Malzahn, too, might be summarily escorted from the premises. Then he beat Georgia, the #1 team in the nation, which quashed those plans.

Considering everything the Ole Miss program was going through, Matt Luke had a respectable audition as their interim coach. As for Malzahn, if for whatever reason he and Auburn were to part ways, Arkansas would be waiting with open arms.

I could see Ole Miss keeping Luke until they know how the NCAA axe falls.

Shouldn't that be water under the bridge? Gus and Houston Nutt didn't see eye to eye and Gus promptly left after one year. That shouldn't matter in the slightest now.
