New coach Cuonzo Martin brings his assistant coach's sons with him. They are the top player in the 2017 class, Michael Porter, Jr.and his brother Jontay, another 5*. Former Washington commit Blake Harris signed with these 2 and another 4 star former Illinois commit Jerimia Tillman signed. He also signed Texas guard CJ Roberts and Canisius grad transfer Kassius Robertson. By the way, their 3 leading scorers return. Can you say NCAA tourney?

Looks like someone finally accepted his boy isn't ever coming back so he's now hitching his ride to another coach.

Both are better coaches than Barnes will ever be. Lindy's Sports has them picked to finish 13th in the SEC. 31-35 going into year 3 and picked next to last in the conference, a real winner.

Same deal with LSU. Lots of talent, but questionable coach. Martin is decent, but didn't do anything at Cal, so I don't know if I expect much different.

Barnes was fired at Texas because he could not win with the kind of talent that Texas brought in. Tyndall would have rocked and rolled in year 2 just like the football coaches at Florida and Georgia if Dave Hart and the University of Tennessee had stood by him. The charges were totally concocted by the NCAA to cover the lack of charges against North Carolina. There was no documentation to prove the testimony of the one coach they gave immunity to. 40 other witnesses said he was not involved.

I wouldn't expect one thing to be different. His teams were less than the sum of their parts at Tennessee outside of a 3-game stretch in the 2014 Tourney, and they were far less than the sum of their parts at Cal. He didn't even win a single tournament game there with teams that were more talented than his Tennessee squads.

Whoa whoa whoa...you previously said Tyndall would take us "to the promised land just like Butch".

I'm guessing by "promised land" you must mean the unemployment line from UT, because Butch is going to follow Tyndall right to there.
