...Cal fieldgoal and the linebacker for Rebs jumped straight up and the refs gave him a penalty. Five yards and since it was forth and 4, gave Cal a first down. Even the announcers were scratching their heads. Apparently the new rule that can't jump over someone's back. The ref probably has been waiting all year to call.

BTW, the field goal was good but Cal was intercepted on the next play, reinforcing the old adage that you never take points off the board.

That's called the Zac Cunningham rule, named for Vandy's middle linebacker last year who jumped Auburn's longsnapper to block a FG. It was implemented this past summer by the NCAA
