Matt Corral, a top QB recruit in the 2018 recruiting class, has decommitted from USC, according to reports.

247 Sports reports the news on Corral, who had been committed to the Trojans since Feb. 2016. Corral started off his high school career at Oaks Christian in Southern California, but left after a fight with Wayne Gretzky’s son. He then transferred to Long Beach Poly, which has been one of the best high school programs in the country the past few decades, producing numerous NFL players.

Corral is entering his senior year. He has thrown for 74 touchdowns and 15 interceptions during his high school career, while rushing for 17 scores.

247 Sports ranks Corral as the No. 2 recruit in California for 2018. He is said to be considering Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

why does it matter that his fight was with Wayne Gretzky's son? if he got into a fight with Ralph Wilson's son, would he still be there?

Ralph Wilson's son is 80 years old! Hell no he wouldn't be there!

Because it is a detail that makes the story more interesting. It doesn't matter, but it doesn't matter that it doesn't matter. It adds color.

Which would you rather read?

Pappy gets punched in the face by random stranger on the street

or

Pappy gets punched in the face by former President George Bush on the street

I know I'm going with the latter...

"Corral started off his high school career at Oaks Christian in Southern California, but left after a fight with Wayne Gretzky’s son. He then transferred to Long Beach Poly, ..."

Sounds like an Ole Miss kind of guy.

Remember the last time ya'll landed a 5* QB? The Driskel Effect. :)

Meh...McElwain has been grilled for not bringing in a blue chip QB recruit. He's crossed that off the list.

Driskel was a dual threat QB...a Meyer recruit...thrown into Muschamp's pro-style offense.

Didn't he already bring in that blue chip QB that de-committed from LSU and came in last year??
