Pitino, sex scandal = 5 game suspension

Pearl, lying about a BBQ = Suspension for games (can't remember the number), fired from UT, 3 year show cause.

Sounds like equal punishments for equal wrongdoings.

NCAA is a joke.

Well, Pitino stated he has lost faith in the NCAA for coming down hard. And we are losing faith in the NCAA for wrist slaps for this. At least we agree.....kinda.


I just pulled up images of this Katina Powell. They need to double Pitino's penalty in the name of bad taste.

Pitino should have been given a show clause. No way he deserves to keep his job.

He got off easy because 1) they weren't able to prove he knew about it/signed off on it and 2) they couldn't prove he lied to the NCAA about it. They were unable to tie him directly to the violations.

Organizations that are good at breaking the rules do so in a way that insulates the people at the top from knowledge of the rulebreaking.

If they were able to prove Pitino knew about/signed off on the hookers, or if he lied to the NCAA about it, he probably would have been given a lifetime show-cause.

I suspect little Rick told them if they hit him with a major penalty that he would expose Kentucky. The NCAA protects their prize programs and this is solid evidence.

Pitino needs to hire Gloria Allred as his attorney, poor little feller got screwed. And from them to accuse him of this in the dorm named for his deceased brother in law.

They should keep a close watch on UL as long as he's there. What a piece of ****
