Just means that when Kiffin crushes it at FAU (going to bowls at 6-6), we can hire him back when inevitably Butch fails.... Butch can totally save himself with this OC change.....

Calling it career suicide is just dumb. FAU has gone bowling in the past, as recently as 2013. C-USA is not a very strong conference outside of WKU and with Brohm leaving, they might even take a step back. ODU finished second in the east this year and we don't have a competent qb for next year. A couple of 8 win seasons will be easy at FAU and Kiffin will be moving on to greener pastures. No one lands softer than Joey Freshwater.

FAU: ESPN’s Brett McMurphy and Chis Low are reporting that Lane Kiffin has accepted the head coaching job at FAU. We have confirmed the hire. Chris Low adds that he expects Lane to continue to serve as OC at Alabama through their playoff run.


Better there than with Bama or LSU...guy is an azz...but guy can also coach

I'm no Kiffin guy buy this sets up perfectly to rebuild his image and get bigger jobs in a few seasons.
