Yea I read that, the kid can barely walk. Glad his dream came true and he got to play football.

Wow yeah I totally understand what this kid is going through from a medical perspective. My wife has had crippling arthritis for years, and there is a ton of stuff that she can't do. For instance, her hands were hurting so bad the other day that she couldn't even undo the seatbelt in her car. I had to undo it for her. She struggles to walk up and down the stairs at our house. I can't imagine what this kid goes through on a daily basis. Just seeing her try to get around and lead a normal life makes me feel for this kid a hundred times over. I'm glad he got to be part of the team and just be a kid for once.

I saw that story the other day and I almost thought it was fake. I wish the best for that kid. It has to be tough going through everything he is going through.

This kind of thing really puts recruiting and all of this other stuff in perspective. This kid want just to play and got too. That means more than anything in the university of Tennessee football

We all have dreams, but this kid is truely living his. The amount of dedication and will he has in any other body would make any average player a super star.

Great Story. I think sometimes we forget about the love of the game and get to caught up in winning. Football is much more than a game to some people and not a day goes by I don't miss playing.

I coach a youth football team these days and it's a great experience. I try to tell them to never take the game for granted.

Here are a couple other inspiring football stories I have used as a coach:

Blind Football player: YouTube - Blind Football Player

Legless Football player: YouTube - Legless Football Player

Hopefully they find a way to help him with the pain from arthritis. Would also be nice if they could find something that prevents him from getting any bigger. Maybe if they can stop it he'll age into his body a little more.
