This year might have one of the best all-around BCS fields we've seen (Oregon, Iowa, GaTech, TCU, etc.), so ND may indeed get smacked in the mouth yet again if they do make it.

Any way you slice it, they have a large fan base, pull ratings and make money. The BCS will do what gets the best ratings which doesn't necesarily mean the best game.

Iowa sucks. And I'm sure there have been better BCS fields that didn't involve any mid majors. I may have to check on that, though.

Why does everyone on this board leave Cincinnati out of talks when they talk good BCS bowl teams?

If ND gets fielded in a BCS bowl, it won't be a shocker, just like when they get pounded in it, not a shocker.

ND gets beat by Cincy in a BCS bowl if they play, and probably TCU too.
