Grand Valley State got Michigan State a couple of years ago. The Spartans went on the the Sweet 16. It's meaningless.

Just further proves how pointless preseason polls are. As for the game itself, it's an exhibition and therefore meaningless. Cool for the smaller school though, I'm sure they will enjoy it.

There's a reason teams play these warm-up games.

I'm sure a good coach (which Syracuse definitely has) will use this game to keep his team focused when they are playing games that actually count towards their record...
