Mitch Mustain to become punter?

Mitch Mustain update - FVSports Forums

Quote:
Quarterback Mitch Mustain took reps at punter and stayed after practice to get in extra work as the redshirt junior experiments with a new position. He was booming 50-plus-yard punts during special teams period, though Carroll said he's still a few weeks away from working into the competition at punter. "He's got a really good leg," Carroll said.

Un-fricking-real. They have a 5* QB trying to punt. We are merely trying to find a competent QB.

This... and then next year we'll probably see another 5* QB (Scroggins) as the holder for field goal attempts!

I think this is just a small example of why Pete Carroll is the best in the land.. How many 5 star QB's, who were starting for an SEC school not too long ago, are punting the ball for Florida? Alabama?.. 7-10 years from now I can see Kiffin doing this same thing

JC got to play for UT and live his dream. MM got to quit a school and be drug around by the short hairs by his mother. JC comes out better in the long run.

both teams would have ended up exactly where they are now without both players. And it's always nice to know who doesn't care about UT athletes

O really? So you're saying any quarterback would have thrown 3 ints against UCLA?
