The talk in Memphis is that Memphis has asked permission to talk to Missouri's Mike Anderson.

Watching a Mike Anderson vs. Bruce Pearl game might be too much fun for me to handle.

I can't think of a better candidate that Memphis could realistically get. Except maybe Tim Floyd, but Floyd's system is so boring.

I think everyone here knows I like, and think very highly of, John. That said, if he's trying to extort Memphis into hiring Tony, that's utterly reprehensible. That sounds like some local media are getting some pop by angering the fan base. I find those reports hard to believe.

If the reports of taking Sallie and Witherspoon if Barbee isn't hired are true, then John Calipari is a bigger scumbag than I originally thought. That would leave the Memphis program in shambles. That's not something that he should do.
