| Kentucky Forward no longer with team I know this is a UT board, but rivals always want to know when something happens to their foes. There is rumor that A.J Stewart was dismissed from the team, according to the KSR blog below. Kentucky Sports Radio
This hardly makes an impact on the team as far as numbers go, but it does not help the team psyche. I can't help but think that there is possibly more fallout to come.
On the other hand, it does open up scholarship. |

| Makes sense. When you lose to USC, it is time to dismiss people. Ask UT about that. |

A huge fall-out between him and the university with no contract and he can leave when he wants. This is something I believe he planned all along as well... to have the option open. Assuming Patrick and Jodie stay (which I definately think they are) then next year should be a great year to turn things around.... but who knows.
Anyone that follows UK sports knows that there is little room for patience. |

His game/body is not ready for the NBA yet. Plus, I think he needs the experience... but that goes for BOTH of them. |

| That's ok - we still get to hopefully spoil your dreams - except winning the SEC east is hardly an accomplishment. Hopefully we actually match up well with you all and the first game wasn't a fluke. Except, last time, USCjr couldn't hit a shot for the first ten minutes of the game so we jumped all over them. |

| No offense, but there are some baseless statments made here from time to time....
It's not a rumor. I broke the story that AJ Stewart was kicked off the team earlier today.....he's trying to get back on, but it's not likely to happen.
Coach Gillisipie is under contract as of right now....always has been. There is a signed memorandum of understanding that spells out everything a contract spells out, including his buy out and ramifications if he quits..... it's just less detailed. Neither side really cares much that the specific language isn't worked out..... it's really not an issue.
There is no strain with UK and BCG.... I never understand where that sort of stuff comes from.....
Finally, both Meeks and Patterson are fairly certain they will both be back next year. Meeks may go to some camps to get feedback, as may Patterson, but both intend (and need to) return for next year.....
Patterson needs to show more aggression? Demand the ball more??? Have you seen him play this year? He's one of the hardest working post players in the nation. He needs to show more of a face up game, which he'll have a chance to do next year with Orton and Pilgrim able to draw defenses in the post.....
Finally, how has health ever been an issue for Meeks..... he had a sports hernia.... he's never been injury prone and has been fully recovered and is in amazing shape now and always was prior to his ONE injury....lol.
