He did exactly what any professional in the world should do. |

But I guess its still worth if for them. | if he weren't worth the cash, his bluff would have been called and it would have ended at that. He clearly has more market value than he was getting. He fixed that problem, as he should have. |

No. But I'm not certain he ever intended to leave Georgia, regardless of what he was offered (within reason). But again, he might have been serious. Only Rodney knows that. |

| As I recall, we went after him, not the other way around, it's not like he reneged on a done deal with UTK. If anyone at all was played, it was UGA

| I think he had a genuine interest in working with Monte as well. We will see quite a bit of that as long as he is here. |

| Garner Some of you guys are being ridiculous! Did Garner call up Kiffin and ask if he could interview? Garner did what anyone would do, he listened to the offers and made a decision with his family. He did not play UT. If anything, UT played UGA into spending money. I have no doubt than when we made the offer, Garner had to think he was coming here. He has a family that he must support, and it's not like he played at UGA. That being said, UGA counter offered, and he made the best decision for himself and his family. Can you imagine telling 5 daughters that they were all leaving their friends and moving to a new school? I would imagine UGA wouldn't have to pay him as much as our offer to keep him there because uprooting a family sucks.
I guess when Lane asked to talk to him he should have said "No, I don't want to get in an ugly bidding war that ends up paying me twice as much because some might percieve that I played you guys." |

| Sure it would have been nice to have RG, but he would have been the cherry on top. Time to move on! |
