| I know in the SEC we can't pull this stuff..... I just want to take my hat off to Coach Al Groh and the UVA sports administration for proving to college football fans that these kids although gifted and talented are not above the law..... This is how all these kids should be disciplined with their ridiculous off-season antics.......
Lalich Dismissed from Team
University of Virginia quarterback Peter Lalich was dismissed from the football team yesterday, an abrupt detour to the athletic career of a West Springfield graduate who arrived in Charlottesville as a heralded recruit.
His dismissal followed Lalich's admission in Charlottesville General District Court that he violated the terms of his probation that resulted from an alcohol-related arrest in July. Lalich admitted he drank alcohol after he was sentenced to a pre-conviction program on July 21. The decision to dismiss him from the team was made by Athletic Director Craig Littlepage and supported by Coach Al Groh. |

| Referring to the indulging in alcoholic beverages as "ridiculous off-season antics" is a bit ridiculous. |

| actually I was referring to being put on probation having a full $100,000+ scholarship and playing on BCS football program, and wasting it all since he is so stupid to have beers with friends EVEN THOUGH he is on probation.....
Stop thinking like the drunk slobs that you are and pretend you can curbtail your drinking for a few months if you knew it was your premiere job for a premiere school! |

| I don't believe this story for a second.
Mostly because I refuse to believe there are students at UVA not named Caruthers or Wentworth. |

On the Karma side of the house, UVA is pretty terrible at football and this will hurt their already suffering recruiting efforts.
