When fans want to talk about their displeasure with the team, he quickly interrupts them and moves on to the next caller. I guess working for the flagship station has it's stipulations.

The sports talk in Knoxville can be bad, but to be honest hearing about the Vols (even if the guys talking about them are sort of goofy) is much better than hearing about some other team from goofy sports talk guys. I lived in Orlando for two years, and to be honest, I hated their sports talk way more than I hated the guys in Knoxville. Jerry O'Neal can go die a very slow death, and on the weekends the only option I even had was listening to a fishing show.

But no...Plaster is a gigantic Vandy homer...Willy Daunic actually is, too, but does a better job of hiding it...

I mean, remember Plaster used to be Vandy's play-by-play guy until they told him he'd have to quit over at 99.7 (which is where he was at the time).

Actually, pretty much all of 104.5 except Willy and Darren annoy me. I'm a huge Predators fan...104.5 is their flagship station...and they do everything they can to avoid talking hockey. I mean...they will interrupt the Bristol race to talk high school football on a Friday night at 8:30...which is an hour before most of the games are over...so I don't know who it is marketed to.

Are we Texas? No one in Tennessee cares about high school football other than their own team...at least not enough to listen to it on the radio. Heck, my alma mater has games that get broadcast on 104.5...

104.5 can't really decide who its target audience is...and it irks me.

I agree with you about everything except nobody in the mid state caring about football. There are many teams traveling pretty good distances and many can't go to the games so they listen for their scores and updates on the radio. I know this is a small minority but anything we can do as a state will only help promote the game and hopefully build up our in state talent.

Ive been in Arkansas a month and Im already sick of the Tennessee bashing and hearing how Petrino will win the NC in about 3 years. I get the fact that the hogs are all there is, but man, they wear you out with Petrino as the second coming of Pete Carroll.

You're kidding right? Every time I turn on Plaster, which I'll admit is rare anymore, they are talking about the Preds. That's one of the main reasons I quit listening. Last year when they were on their kick begging people to buy tickets it felt like that's all they would discuss, even after football season started.

They are both huge Vandy homers. I thought it was interesting though, listening to them call the Music City Bowl last year. They kept referring to UK as we.

I dont think anyone has listed them yet so here is mine. I travel the state and listen all the local shows. Who ever the 3 jokers are in the morning on the Sports Animal in Knoxville are the absolute worst. PERIOD. The chick adds absolutely nothing.

Thank God they took him off the air, but here in Evansville, Dan Igursky held us hostage 2 hours a day with his cloying Wisconsonesque accent, talking about the Lynnville girls' vahhhlleyball team, which was daaaahhminating the SIAC caaaaaaaaaaaahnference.

Girls' high school volleyball?!?!?! Who wants to discuss that on sports talk?!?!?!?!
