I don't think Bruce (or many) coaches would guarantee a player a certain amount of minutes. Demanding that seems odd. | If Doneal's as good as he should be to be a pro he could get playing time and if he's not Cal probably could help him more than most coaches.
In order to become a pro he would have to put the teams best interest in front of his own and try to flourish from within the team , not the other way around . JMO

| Sallie, Dozier and AA went 40-0 before Memphis. It will be interesting to see what they can do at Memphis with Reke. |

| Memphis got payback by stealing Sallie from UK, since UK stole Liggins from them. Although Liggins is much better, IMO.

Sallie was quoted on the news last night as saying he was going to play PG. Anderson was told by NBA scouts that he may have a future at PG, and Evans is also a PG. I'm a Willie Kemp fan no matter who he plays for, but its obvious that Cal' has little faith in him.
In high school he ran the point with near flawless execution, his first year at Memphis he started and led them to an Elite Eight. He takes a back seat to Rose, and then gets limited minutes. Often coming in as a shooter, which he is not. If he doesn't make a quick three, he gets yanked.
The pot smoking Andre Allen got to throw up as many bricks from 3 as he wanted. Seems like the staff was treating Mack and Kemp both the same. Do you think Kemp pulls a Mack after this Salie signing? |

Do you think Kemp pulls a Mack after this Salie signing? | So Cal is just supposed to not recruit anybody that might be better than Kemp? Cal is getting the best players he can, even if it is at PG. It doesn't have anything to do with how much he trusts or distrusts Willie. If Rose had stayed one more year, Cal would have still gone after the same players. It sounds like you are disguntled that Cal played Rose over Kemp. Kemp is a pretty good PG but he is not a top level PG.
I actually liked Andre running the offense better. And for the record, running a Bolivar HS team with "flawless execution" means jack on a top tier college team.
To answer your question, no, I don't think Willie is going anywhere. If he leaves now, he will only have one year of D-1 eligibility left.

To answer your question, no, I don't think Willie is going anywhere. If he leaves now, he will only have one year of D-1 eligibility left. | Nope, not saying that. I was not upset that Rose started over Kemp nor am I upset that Sallie signed with Memphis. I wanted to know if Tiger fans thought Willie would stick it out with Memphis. You've probably watched more Memphis games than I, but IMO he lost confidence when Cal' kept giving him the quick hook. He started to look for the quick shot, instead of running the offense. Would you agree or disagree? Also, Kemp's assist to turnover ratio was 3/1, the best for Cal' while he's been at Memphis. Yet Allen was allowed to make turnover after turnover. Statistics don't lie, when Kemp played more than 10 minutes he shot over 41% from 3, the 12 games he played less than 10 minutes he shot 9.5% from 3. Looks like lack of confidence was his biggest issue.
I'm from just east of Memphis also, and about half of my friends are Tiger fans. I don't hate the program or the coach, I have a respect for the basketball team just like most of my friends have a mutual respect for Pearl and Tennessee. I'm just saying that some Memphis fan believe that Cal' was unfair with Kemp also. This was in no way a flame, just an honest question.
