Agreed. Mereno definitely adds a spark to UGA's Offense. Let's hope Stafford never adds that quality.

mereno's going to be hard to handle in the future. i hope he leaves early. players like him can take a game over themselves.

They probably don't have the fire/energy to run the ball down the field on them if they aren't given that incentive/spark by the coach.

I agree with you LIO...I thought it set the tone for the entire game...The look on the FL players faces was priceless.

Personally I loved the call. I haven't seen that type of emotion from a UGA team in a Loooooong time.

Arguably the single stupidest coaching move I've ever seen. He handed Florida the tying touchdown.

Not to mention Urban Meyers. He was totally bewildered. I'm surprised he didn't burst into tears.

Sending the whole team onto the field may have pumped his team up, but it was a little bush league; especially for a guy knocking his team 2 weeks ago for excessive celebration.

If that's good coaching, Dennis Erickson is the greatest coach of all time.

Could be.

Did you watch the end of the Cal/ASU game by chance? Erickson looked like he was possessed as excited as he was on the sidelines.

i don't know if I'd call that good coaching, but it was an excellent way to motivate your team. Yes, it did get the Florida players hyped, but he had to expect that. His team played that way the entire game and he is mostly to credit for that. It was bad coaching because of the penalties and field position they lost, but it was a great form of motivation.

Dennis Erickson is the most underrated college football coach of the last quarter century. Everyone laughed when I said they'd be 8-0. They're not laughing now.
