Haters gonna hate.

Oregon had a great season.

OSU was a machine with Jones at QB.

they always have great seasons but can't win the big one...7 straight seasons of ten wins or more but no trophy with all that Nike money has to be considered disappointing

Jones didn't beat Oregon, Ohio states running game won that game

OSU was a different team with Jones at QB because of his ability to stretch the field, great long ball.

Tonight they could have run Elliott 50 times without attempting a pass.

How easy do you believe they are to win?

Plus, before the last 6 years, they weren't always having great seasons...or anything near this type of success. That Nike money's partially what made that program where it's at now.

Probably not

You're crazy. It's easy to be on this side of the fence and talk about how nice it would be just to accomplish what Oregon has the past few years, but in reality can you imagine the meltdown on this board if we had just gotten curb-stomped in the NC by a Big 10 team? When we were favored to win?

One factor no one is talking about is the disparity in recruiting between both schools and I think that showed last night. Ohio State was bigger, more athletic, and faster at almost every position. Oregon had no answer for them on defense and were it not for the two fumbles Ohio State had in the first half, this game would have been much uglier.

This was no different than their loss to Auburn. Oregon is too small along the lines for a team with the caliber of linemen that OSU had. It's great to be fast but if you are only negligibly faster than a guy whose 15lbs heavier than you it will be a long night. You can tout 15 or Jones but at the end of the day linemen won that game.
