I think this is a very good hire for Pittsburgh
Michigan State: With Narduzzi going to Pitt, this presents an interesting dynamic on the Michigan State staff. Sources have told us for quite a while that Narduzzi would love to bring Mike Tressel and / or Harlon Barnett with him but there is no doubt Mark Dantonio would like to keep both likely with the defensive coordinator title involved. Interesting Christmas Eve talk in East Lansing coming up. Good friends that they are, we expect they will work this out best for all. Will update once more is clear.
Pitt: SI is reporting that although the deal isnt done; barring any eleventh-hour breakdown Pat Narduzzi will become the new head coach at Pitt after Christmas. Sources have told us all along that Narduzzi conveyed to Pitt this weekend that he would accept if offered. SIs report sounds like Pitt has decided Pat is the best man for the job. Sources tell us, same as SI has reported, that specific terms have not been agreed to and nothing has been presented that could be signed; but yes, we hear the same that it is headed there. Heres the story. Update> Sources close to the situation tell us that both sides fully expect the deal to be finalized soon enough.
