Clemson just got Deshaun Watson back and before the first quarter's even over, they lose him to injury again.

The backup QB comes back in and inside the GT 20 rolls out and throws across his body on a blown-up screen that turns into a pick 6 for Tech, only for them to botch the snap on the extra point.

It's 6-3 GT at the end of the 1st quarter.

Watson's knee just gave out on him while he was running; foot got caught on either the ground or his other foot.

Sounds like Deshaun's out for the game.

At this point, it seems like that backup QB's all the difference in this game.

9-3 GT at half.

Stoudt as a backup is 1 for 6 for 4 yards with 2 INTs.

Clemson doesn't have any offense having to go this deep into their roster.

This is going to turn into more of a rout than it probably should be.

Clemson's backup is now 4 for 12 for 27 yards, and 3 INTs.

GT's scored two TDs off of INT returns since he's taken over (an 85 yard one and a 62 yard one).

I was going to go with Clemson over South Carolina in two weeks, originally, but with Watson hurt and having to play Stoudt...I can't see them beating the Gamecocks, even as bad as USCe is this year.

Stoudt ends the game 3 for 11 for 19 yards and 3 INTs.

He completed as many passes to the other team as he did his own...and threw two more TDs to them.

Worst QB performance I've ever seen in person. Always a nice to have when it isn't your QB.

Go Jackets!
