Just today we saw Auburn get screwed on a 68 yard reception..

The commissioner of the refs is a Bama grad.

Just now, a Bama player maliciously pushed a Arky player TWICE, with no retaliation.... Both got called for PF's and the penalties offset.

The head of that ref crew is "good friends" with the referee commissioner..

Lol.

Dan Skipper (that arkansas lineman) stood tall and took two shots to the face and didnt even hint at a retaliation. They straight up blew that call bad

I don't think the refs are corrupt or there's a conspiracy.

After watching that ref and the catch in the Ole Miss-A&M game, I'm just convinced they're bad.

Every week this same thread. Is everyones memory really this bad. Its no different this week or this year or this decade. It's not corruption. It's not a conspiracy. Its just business.

Eyes on TVs.

Penn Wagers and his crew are freaking terrible. Bama got the good end of their idiocy tonite.

But that whole crew needs to retire.

I wonder how big of an undertaking it would be to just have FBS NCAA refs instead of each conference having their own.

More than it would need to be. Especially since every conference would want to have a say in the matter - with their own ideas on how it should work for each - and they'd all have to vote on something they had come to some degree of agreement on.

I would like to see a system where officials are assessed and graded every game by an unbiased third party. The assessments and grades are made public, and punishments are given out for poor grades. Also a pattern of bias against a specific team would ban you from officiating their games.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal. That's how it's done in basketball. Guys are regional for the most part and do multiple conferences. Teddy Valentine can be seen doing SEC, ACC and southern B1G games in the matter of a week.

The issue that's arising with that is some believe those guys are doing too many games in a week, too far apart and exhaustion is setting in and causing their performance to suffer. I'm not sure if they're assigned games or "volunteer" but basically if they can find a flight to the next stop and they can "afford" it (in basketball refs pay their own way out of their earnings from what I've been told) they can go anywhere.

Penn Wagers and Co should certainly be due for an employee evaluation at this point. That officiating crew has a history of becoming game factors.

Nothing is ever done about the biased officiating in the SEC. I think other conferences have a legitimate grip about the favoritism the officials show.

Missing the Facemask and subsequent TD in the OleMiss - Bama game????

Florida winning 2 games because the ref didn't call delay of game???

Its sickening to see missed calls.... I understand some of them and am happy that recall can fix SOME, but as much as they screw up, I wish they would review EVERYTHING, including penalties, until they clean some stuff up.
