If C Patterson decides to spend a weekend in Kansas and gets comped for a steak dinner, Dooley could get slapped by the 'AA for that
I don't know why everybody expected CPC to keep up with the living situations of every parent of every player on the team across the country, that's the only way he would have known.
The sooner college athletics are treated as the glorified minor leagues that they are, the better. |

This. It's refreshing to know not everyone still believes this was a "pay-for-play" situation. We had a failure in our responsibility to conduct compliance, per the NCAA. Very different from paying him to sign--not sure why we would since he had been on the team (2) years before the infractions began... |

Even if it wasn't, I don't see why it should be expected of the compliance department at every university to personally investigate the living situation of every relative of every varsity athlete. |
