| Saying he was close to being hired is absurd which is the premise of this thread. The media would have had a field day with Dooley's comments if they were not true. But they had no solid source so they finally stfu. Randy Shannon's camp didn't have a response to Dooley's comments did they? Didn't think so. | |

| Didn't say he was close to being hired, said I BELIEVE he was contacted. Of course there's no way to know that for sure. He might never have been contacted but a lot of our boosters believe he was.

| Calm down, we just discussing tn football in July , I can't wait for it to get here either brother. I just thought the dc predictions thread was interesting. Our insiders got it wrong a lot guaranteeing he'd be announced in the next few days and whatnot. Just seems to me that something was going on and we dropped consideration of him considering our normally reliable "sources" . Another far fetched idea is that hart used the situation to monitor leaks and to find out who runs their trap concerning the program. Toss something out there and see where it ends up. He did fire some people not long after.
